Cable respooler
The carrying principle is feeding spool against spool. The supply spool gives off cable or wire, the take-up spool draws it on under guidance. So you bring lines onto a different drum size, reorder delivery units, or set material up for the following processing step.
As a full feed line, the supply and take-up sides join into one unit. Both drums turn in step, the line stands under steady pulling force between the stations. Evotec delivers this joined solution as required, and likewise the tie-in to an existing make-up or test routine.
Spring-loaded tension rollers on each side track the shrinking wind diameter and hold the line pull even. You pick the feed pace steplessly between stop and full speed, and you reverse the rotation direction. The strong motor with built-in control leads cable and wire jolt-free and gently.
For cutting to length we add a length counter as required. It tallies the line as it transfers, so you bring exactly set metre figures onto the take-up spool. The device thus becomes a cutting, test and rework place for making up and checking cable and wire to precise length.
The device ships plug-ready for 230 V in a heavy-duty aluminium profile. As standard a 76 mm core and 100 mm web width apply, larger sizes as required. Special builds and the tie-in to existing cable processing Evotec provides itself as the maker, together with the optional length counter.
Feed drive for steady spool-against-spool
The strong drive pulls cable and wire smoothly from the supply to the take-up spool. You pick the pace steplessly and reverse the rotation direction when called for.

Why the Cable respooler?
Spool against spool
The drive feeds cable and wire reliably from the supply onto the take-up spool. Through the rotation direction you set the sense in which the line lays onto the new drum core.
Drums up to 20 kg
Spools up to 500 mm outer diameter and 20 kg the drive turns through under control. The 76 mm core seats many cable drums; differing cores we lay out by cross-section.
Running metre count
A length counter tallies the line as it transfers. With it you lay precise metre figures onto the take-up spool and record leftover stock right while feeding.
On any 230 V outlet
Drive and control electronics are fitted, so the cable respooler works without assembly lead time. At the 230 V outlet it is feed-ready on the spot, no extra hookup needed.
