The Evotec cable respooler transfers cable and wire from spool to spool under motor power. Stepless pace, a reversible winding sense and a running length counter make it a cutting, inspection and reconfiguration place. Built in Arnsberg.
Why the Cable respooler?
Anyone who has to cut, view or re-make up cable runs into trouble unwinding by hand. The cable respooler takes that job over: it feeds spool against spool, counts off the metres as it goes, and pays the line out in a metered, gentle manner.

Spool against spool
The drive feeds cable and wire reliably from the supply onto the take-up spool. Through the rotation direction you set the sense in which the line lays onto the new drum core.
Drums up to 20 kg
Spools up to 500 mm outer diameter and 20 kg the drive turns through under control. The 76 mm core seats many cable drums; differing cores we lay out by cross-section.
Running metre count
A length counter tallies the line as it transfers. With it you lay precise metre figures onto the take-up spool and record leftover stock right while feeding.
On any 230 V outlet
Drive and control electronics are fitted, so the cable respooler works without assembly lead time. At the 230 V outlet it is feed-ready on the spot, no extra hookup needed.

Rugged for heavy drums
Aluminium profile and a sturdy frame bear heavy cable drums in continuous duty. Spring-loaded tension rollers on each side hold the pulling force even and guard the cable jacket.
Feed drive for steady spool-against-spool
The strong drive pulls cable and wire smoothly from the supply to the take-up spool. You pick the pace steplessly and reverse the rotation direction when called for.

Where the cable respooler is used
Cut the line to length
Use the length counter to transfer exactly set metres of cable or wire from the supply onto a delivery spool.
Re-share a drum
Spread cable from one large supply spool onto several smaller drums with a fixed preset length per order.
Record leftover metres
Re-feed opened cable drums while tallying the remaining line length to know the true stock.
View the jacket
Let the line run through slowly during feeding and pick up insulation damage, kinks or marking faults on the jacket surface.
Flip the drum winding sense
Reverse a spool's pay-off direction so the line runs off cleanly in the following processing machine.
Cutting and rework place
Re-feed cable and wire under guidance, cut faulty sections out, and re-drum sound metres cleanly.
